Mental Health Month Dinner and Silent Auction
Westminster Presbyterian Church, University Avenue, Dubuque, IA, USA
Each year, Mental Health America of Dubuque County gathers the community together for a buffet dinner and silent auction event to support brain health and engage in much needed conversation about this important issue. MHA of Dubuque County directly addresses brain and mental health concerns by collaborating with community-based partners to provide programs, education, resources, support and advocacy.
This year’s theme for Mental Health month is “Turn Awareness into Action.”
This theme celebrates the progress we’ve made in recognizing the importance of mental health – and challenges us to turn understanding into meaningful steps toward change.
Whether it’s through advocacy, education, community engagement, or direct action in our own lives, “Turn Awareness to Action” reflects our commitment to creating a world where mental health is prioritized for all.
We hope to see you at our dinner to strengthen community engagement, while we move forward collectively to impact and address brain health and overall wellness. Together, we will educate and change how our community, state and nation responds to these important needs and work together to improve outcomes.

2nd Annual Diaper Drive
DuTrac Community Credit Union Hosts 2nd Annual Diaper Drive to Support Families in Need
DuTrac Community Credit Union is proud to announce its 2nd Annual Diaper Drive, dedicated to addressing diaper insecurity among families in need. Running throughout May, the drive aims to collect 7,500 diapers across all DuTrac branch locations to support families through distribution partnerships with United Way Dubuque Area Tri-States and Hiney Helpers of the Quad Cities.
“We are excited to partner again with DuTrac for their annual Diaper Drive. These resources are incredibly valuable to our local communities. This will help many young families with already tight budgets meet their basic needs. Thank you to DuTrac for recognizing and stepping up to fill a gap within our community.” said Danielle Leibfried, President/CEO of United Way of Dubuque Area Tri-States.
Last year’s inaugural drive resulted in the collection of more than 3,700 diapers, making a meaningful impact on local families. With increased awareness and participation, DuTrac is setting an even higher goal for 2025.
“We know that many hardworking families in our communities struggle to afford basic necessities, and no parent should have to choose between buying diapers and other essentials,” said Andy Hawkinson, DuTrac President and CEO. “Through the generosity of our members and the power of community partnerships, we can help ease this burden and make a real difference in the lives of local families.”
Members of the public are encouraged to donate diapers of any size or making a monetary donation at any DuTrac branch, including in Platteville, WI, where donations can be dropped off at the DuTrac Mobile Branch (151 Millennium Drive) on Wednesdays and Fridays from 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM, or inside Millennium Cinema on alternate days. All donations will stay local, with contributions made at each DuTrac branch distributed to partner organizations serving that specific community."
For more information on how to contribute, visit DuTrac.org or contact Sherrie Keating at 563-585-8415 or skeating@dutrac.org.
