A Dubuque man must serve four months in jail after police said he led law enforcement on a high-speed chase while intoxicated. 19-year-old Angel M. Pedro-Francisco recently received the sentence in Iowa District Court of Dubuque County after pleading guilty to one count each of eluding and operating while intoxicated. Pedro-Francisco was sentenced to 240 days in jail and credited him with 120 days of time already served. Pedro-Francisco also was fined $1,680. The charge stems from an incident on Nov. 5 when police said Pedro-Francisco’s vehicle was involved in a non-injury, hit-and-run crash in the area of West Fourth and Locust streets.
