A Dubuque County man will be featured on a public television show about the Iowa growers competing to raise the world’s largest pumpkin. Pete Caspers of Peosta, will be among four Iowa men featured on an episode of “Iowa Life” on Iowa PBS. According to a press release, the episode will premiere at 6:30 p.m. April 8 and will air a second time at 10:30 a.m. April 13. Other growers featured on the episode will be Dave Davis, of Bloomfield; Greg Norlin, of Anamosa; and Rusty Caspers, of Anamosa — who is Pete’s father. A 1,933-pound pumpkin grown by Pete Caspers finished first in the 2024 Ryan Norlin GIANT Pumpkin Weigh-off in Anamosa.
