U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Development is investing just over $14 million in additional grant funding to expand access to clean energy systems and increase the availability of domestic biofuels. There are an additional 42 projects in 27 counties in Wisconsin through the Higher Blends Infrastructure Incentive Program and the Rural Energy for America Program. In rural Cuba City, GRO Alliance will use a $438,500 to install a roof-mounted solar electric array. This project is expected to save $45,118 per year. In Arena, Coon Rock Ranch, a beef cattle and farming operation will use a $7,462 to install a small solar electric array. This project is expected to save $1,103 per year.
