Two vehicle accident with minor injuries in Platteville Township

On Friday at 6:38am, the Grant County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a two-vehicle crash on Highway 151 at the intersection with County Highway O in Platteville. 29-year-old Steven Jantzen of Potosi, was driving eastbound on County Highway O, and he came to a stop at the intersection of County O and Highway 151. 33-year-old Jordan Flogel of Platteville was traveling southbound on Highway 151 in the right lane, when Jantzen attempted to turn northbound onto Highway 151. Jantzen turned directly into the path of Flogel’s vehicle causing a collision. Jantzen’s vehicle came to rest in the left southbound lane of Highway 151. Flogel’s vehicle ended up in the ditch on the west side of the highway. Both vehicles sustained disabling damage with airbag deployment and had to be towed from the scene. Jantzen and Flogel were both wearing seatbelts and complained of minor injuries but refused transport after being evaluated by EMS. Jantzen was cited for Failure to Yield Right of Way from a Stop Sign.
