A Dubuque theater will show a free screening of a film for Human Trafficking Awareness Month. Julia Verdin’s “Maya” will be screened from 5:50 to 7 p.m. Jan. 22 at Phoenix Theatres. The film shows how traffickers use social media to lure vulnerable young people. The screening is sponsored by the Tri-State Coalition Against Human Trafficking.
