On Saturday, January 4th the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop in the Village of Soldiers Grove. During the stop, K9 Diego was utilized and alerted to the presence of one or more controlled substances within the truck. A search of the truck was conducted and a hypodermic needle containing methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia was discovered. The driver, 41-year-old Ryan Volden of Soldiers Grove was arrested and transported to the Crawford County Jail on charges of possession of methamphetamine and felony bail-jumping. Volden was also cited for operating a motor vehicle while suspended, no insurance, non-registration, and numerous equipment violations.
