Local businesses are partnering with the Dubuque Regional Humane Society to help with overcrowding and encourage adoptions. Sonic Drive-In announced on their Facebook page Sunday that anyone who adopts a cat or dog in the month of December or January will receive free Sonic for 6 months. Once you adopt the animal all you have to do is show proof of the adoption and you will receive one free Cheeseburger or Chili Cheese Coney Combo every week for 26 weeks. Sonic will be reporting to the shelter to ensure animals aren’t returned, too. In an update to their Facebook post on Monday, Sonic mentioned that Raw Rations Pet Food & Wellness is supporting adoptions, too. They will give new pet owners a free adoption kit. There will be a dog and a cat kit with options of food, treats, & supplements. These kits can have over $100 of free products, depending on the options you choose.
