The Southwest Wisconsin Conference (SWC) is proposing changes to the high school athletic conferences. The SWC is proposing to expand by taking four schools from the Southwest Wisconsin Activities League (SWAL) and moving the remaining four schools other area conferences. The SWC proposal would see the conference grow from six teams to ten by adding Cuba City, Darlington, Fennimore, and Mineral Point. Southwestern would be moved to the Six Rivers West and Iowa-Grant would move to Six Rivers East. Boscobel and Riverdale would be moved to the Ridge & Valley Conference. This proposal, if accepted, would not be implemented until 2029-2030 school year.
