The Crawford County Sheriff’s Office has successfully recovered a stolen sawmill valued at several thousand dollars and made multiple arrests following a coordinated effort with neighboring law enforcement agencies. On December 7th the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a theft involving a sawmill from a property in Haney. The sheriff’s office began working with the Richland and Grant County Sheriff’s Offices. After an extensive investigation, authorities secured a search warrant for the property in Blue River. On Sunday, the Crawford, Richland, and Grant County Sheriff’s Offices executed the warrant. During the search, the stolen sawmill was located, and several individuals were detained at the scene. As a result multiple arrests were made. 62-year-old Rusty A. Jones, 28-year-old Riley J. Jenson, 30-year-old Brandon K. Mohr, and 28-year-old Elizabeth P. Gehler all of Blue River, face multiple charges, including felony theft, bail jumping, and possession of stolen property- party to a crime. The Crawford County Sheriff’s Office, in collaboration with the Richland and Grant County Sheriff’s Offices, continue to investigate the case.
