Even after his death in February, Toby Keith continues to add accolades to his legendary country music career. On Tuesday (December 17), the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) honored Keith with two posthumous Gold Records and two Platinum Records to add to his illustrious list of best-selling country hits. “God Love Her” and “American Ride” both were Platinum-certified by the RIAA, meaning sales of 1 million units. While “Cryin’ for Me (Wayman’s Song)” and “Trailerhood” are now Gold-certified, with equivalent sales of 500,00 units. Following Keith’s death, his 35 Biggest Hits topped both the Billboard Top 200 and Top Country Albums charts, while he became the first artist with nine of the Top 10 Billboard Country Digital Songs at the same time. These new sales certifications from the RIAA are proof that music fans continue to listen to Keith’s songs in record numbers, while helping to keep his creative spirit alive. (Music Row)
