A weekend blaze destroyed 24 units at a southwest Wisconsin storage facility. The Platteville Fire Department responded around 9:06 a.m. Sunday to reports of a fire at Big M Storage Units on Highway 151 in Platteville. According to Fire Chief Ryan Simmons, Upon arrival, crews confirmed a fire within a storage building. Crews remained on scene for over eight hours and left at about 5:45 p.m. No injuries were reported, though all 24 storage units in the building and their contents are considered a complete loss. The cause of the fire has yet to be determined, and the incident remains under review.
