It’s out with the old and in with the new. The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources will make the new 12-month state park admission passes available for purchase next Monday, Dec. 2. The new passes will be valid for an entire 12 months after the month of purchase. Previously, passes were only valid during the year that they were purchased in, so a yearlong pass bought in December was worth far less than one bought in January, despite costing the same price. The new pass system also means a new pass design. The passes will be slightly larger, and the 12 months of the year will be listed on the perimeter. The pass well be marked to indicate the month and year it will expire, and will valid until the final day of that month. You can save time by buying passes online.
