On Friday, the Iowa county Sheriff’s Department responded to four different brush or field fires. The first fire was just before 2 PM and was an out-of-control brush fire on Highway 14 in the Township of Arena. Arena Fire and Arena EMS responded to the scene along with the Sauk County DNR Fire Ranger. The fire was extinguished and no injuries reported. The second fire was at 2:19 PM. Mineral Point Fire requested mutual aid by Lafayette County for a corn field on fire on Highway 23 near Darlington. A Mineral Point Brush Truck responded to the scene. At 3:27 PM The Iowa County Communications Center received a report of a field on fire on Highway 80 near County E East in the Township of Mifflin. Livingston Fire, Livingston First Responders, Rewey Fire Department and Montfort EMS responded to the scene. The fire was extinguished and there were no injuries reported. The fourth fire was at 5:44 PM. The Iowa County Communications Center received a report of a combine on fire on Ballard Road in Lafayette County. The fire extended into a nearby corn field. Mineral Point Fire and Mineral Point EMS responded to the scene. The fire was extinguished and there were no injuries reported
