A man has been sentenced to more than 18 years in federal prison for distributing cocaine in Dubuque. 40-year-old Silvester Durrah of Dubuque, was sentenced Friday in U.S. District Court in Cedar Rapids after previously pleading guilty to one count of conspiracy to distribute 500 grams or more of cocaine near numerous parks and schools, and one count of being a felon in possession of a firearm. Durrah was sentenced to 222 months of imprisonment, followed by an 8-year term of supervised release. There is no parole in the federal system. Durrah also had to forfeit the firearms and over $3,000 in drug proceeds seized from him.
