Just over 100 veterans that were misdiagnosed by a former neurologist at the Tomah VA will receive over $4.2 million in retroactive benefits. Dr. Mary Jo Lanska, a neurologist that performed disability exams at the Tomah VA, was fired May 2023 after a review of her exams found that she had misdiagnosed 649 veterans, subsequently denying them compensation and benefits.
