The local Dubuque Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s is scheduled for next month. Registration begins at 8 a.m. Oct. 5 at American Trust River’s Edge Plaza, 400 E. Third St., according to a news release. An opening ceremony will begin at 9 a.m., followed by a 2-mile walk. The annual event honors those affected by Alzheimer’s and raises funding for research. There is no fee to register, though participants are encouraged to fundraise for the cause. To register, go to alz.org/walk.
