A man died on Sunday night after a skid steer rolled on him in Iowa County on Saturday. According to reports from the Iowa County Sheriff’s Office, 63-year-old Randy Cox, of rural Dodgeville died from his injuries at University Hospital, where he was taken by MedFlight helicopter after the crash on private property in a wooded area on Wilson Road in the town of Dodgeville. A 911 caller reported the incident at about 9:10 PM Saturday and emergency responders found Cox pinned from the waist down under the skid steer, which had to be lifted off him by the Dodgeville Fire Department. The initial investigation determined that Cox was operating the skid steer on a slope when it rolled multiple times, ejecting him and landing on him. He was pinned for about three hours before he was located.
