Ahead of the release of MGK’s (fka Machine Gun Kelly) planned country album, the singer is set to release a new collaboration with Jelly Roll titled, “Lonely Road,” on Friday, July 26. MGK teased a music video for his new track in an Instagram reel, which features both musicians attending a funeral, with Jelly’s wife Bunnie XO also making a cameo in the short clip. The song apparently shares musical roots with John Denver’s hit tune, “Take Me Home, Country Roads,” with MGK paying tribute to the country legend in the reel’s caption, “countdown to KellyRoll activated. 🚧 thanks to John Denver for paving the way. July 26th.” MGK previously collaborated with Jelly Roll back in June, as the duo sang Jelly’s smash hit, “Need A Favor,” together at Spotify House in Nashville during CMA Fest. No official release date or title has been shared for MGK’s country album as of yet. (Holler)
