Forecasters expect the Mississippi River to crest around 22.7 feet at Dubuque on the 4th of July. The Forecasters say the Mississippi River could crest over 22 feet in the Dubuque area. The National Weather Service says the river stood at 20.77 feet at 2:30 p.m. Monday at Dubuque’s railroad bridge. Flood stage is 17 feet at the bridge. Forecasters expect the river to crest at 22.7 feet by 7 p.m. Thursday, July 4. At 22.6 feet, water affects Mid-Town Marina facilities in East Dubuque. The river could remain above the 21.5-foot major flood stage through at least Monday, July 8.
