Authorities said a man wanted on multiple warrants led police on a high-speed chase Saturday night in Dubuque. 56 year old Stephen Presley was arrested at 11:00 p.m. on a charge of eluding and warrants charging voluntary absence from custody and four counts of probation violation. Dubuque Police Department officer attempted to contact Presley at about 10:40 p.m. when Presley drove away at a high rate of speed. The officer pursued Presley from Main Street to 17th and Bluff streets, west onto University Avenue and east onto Third Street and James Street before Presley pulled over in a parking lot in Mercy Drive. Presley was taken into custody without further incident. Court documents state that Presley did not return to a state correctional facility on January 26.
