Grant County authorities responded to a two vehicle crash near Livingston Thursday around 7am. The accident occurred on Highway 80 just south of Ebeneezer Road in Clifton Township involving a semi and a pickup truck. 62 year old Roger Biefer of Montfort was driving the semi south on Highway 80, when he began to turn into a field drive. 23 year old Vincent Helbing of Fennimore was driving the pickup truck south on Highway 80 and was directly behind Biefer. The vehicles collided and came to rest at the southbound shoulder of Highway 80. Emergency crews from Montfort Fire/EMS, along with Livingston/Clifton Fire and First Responders responded to the scene. Both Biefer and Helbing were checked out by EMS at the scene and were released. The semi had moderate damage and the truck was a total loss. Citations were issued to Helbing for Inattentive Driving and No Insurance.
