A Prairie du Chien man and two people from northeast Iowa are facing drug charges after authorities discovered several thousands’ of dollars worth of meth. According to a Crawford County Sheriff’s Office report, multiple agencies assisted in the arrest of 44-year-old Christopher Fernette of Prairie du Chien and 38-year-old Dillan Boydston of Waukon, Iowa. As part of an ongoing investigation, deputies noticed a vehicle that was suspected of containing a large amount of meth. During a search of the vehicle, officials discovered about 3 pounds of meth with a street value of roughly $60,000. Deputies also found used hypodermic needles and $17,000 in cash. Fernette has been charged with possession with intent to deliver meth, possession of meth, obstructing an officer, possession of drug paraphernalia, and a probation violation. Boydston was charged with possession with intent to deliver meth, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of THC. A second vehicle – driven by 42-year-old Jessica Brown of Waukon – was also searched in connection to this investigation. Deputies discovered meth and drug paraphernalia inside her vehicle. Brown has been charged with possession of meth. The case remains under investigation.
