Belleville police arrested a man Tuesday morning following multiple hit-and-runs crashes. Belleville police responded to Belleville High School at 9:39 a.m. after school officials reported two students vehicle had been struck by another vehicle which reportedly had left the scene. The crashes occurred on W. Main Street (STH 69/92), and Haden Drive as well as the high school’s west parking lot. Belleville police located the driver and a 23-year-old Belleville man was arrested for 1st offense operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, as well as two counts of hit-and- run of an occupied vehicle. School district officials placed the school on a hold while the crashes while the crashes were under investigation.
