The names of the four Menomonie residents who were killed in the small plane crash that took place in Trilla, Illinois, Saturday have been released. According to the Illinois State Police, the Coles County coroner has confirmed that 46-year-old Ross R. Nelson, 45-year-old Raimi A. Rundle, 36-year-old Courtney L. Morrow, and 48-year-old Michael H. Morrow died at the scene of the crash on Saturday. Illinois State Police responded to reports of an aircraft crash at approximately 10:15 a.m. on County Road 1400 N in Trilla, Illinois. The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) said a Cessna 180 single-engine plane struck powerlines and crashed into a field. No further details are being provided at this time. The investigation into the crash is still ongoing by the Illinois State Police. The Federal Aviation Administration and NTSB will also conduct an investigation into the crash.
