The Academy of Country Music has just announced the details of the ‘Play Something Country’ 60th Anniversary Gala, which will honor Brooks & Dunn. The event is set to take place on May 7 at the Omni PGA Frisco in Frisco, Texas, and will feature performances by Eric Church, Cody Johnson, Megan Moroney, Keith Urban, and Lainey Wilson, who will all deliver renditions of the legendary duo’s classic country hits. The gala will also include an elevated dinner and silent auction, and will be hosted by television and radio personality Bobby Bones. Proceeds from the event will benefit ACM Lifting Lives, the charitable partner of the ACM, and will focus on supporting mental health-based initiatives in the country music industry. Brooks & Dunn, who are nominated for Duo of the Year at the 60th ACM Awards (an honor they have won a record 16 times), hold numerous ACM accolades, including three Entertainer of the Year awards.
