The Dubuque Police Department seeks the public’s assistance investigating a tip alleging a child was sexually assaulted. A police press release states that the Department received anonymous information Tuesday morning about the alleged incident. The reporting person said they had contact with “a subject claiming to be an adult male in his mid-20s living in Dubuque County.” The subject told the reporting party he was babysitting his 10-year-old female cousin Monday evening and admitted to sexually assaulting her. The Dubuque Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division is investigating the tip. Police ask that anyone to whom the circumstances in the tip sound familiar contact the Dubuque Police Department anonymous tip line at 563-587-3820.
