The Dane County Medical Examiner’s Office has released the name of the name of 54-year-old woman who was found dead in the Village of Blue Mounds on Monday. 54-year-old Heather L. Schoonover of Blue Mounds was pronounced dead at the scene despite life-saving efforts, but the cause and manner are currently pending. The medical examiner’s office also said additional testing is underway. In an update on Monday, the Dane County Sheriff’s Office said witnesses reported an active disturbance in which two females were involved. Sheriff Kalvin Barrett said the Schoonover sustained injuries that led to her death. The 31-year-old female suspect drove away from the scene. According to a statement by the Dane County Sheriff’s Office, the 31-year-old suspect is still considered a person of interest and is currently hospitalized.
