A Dubuque man has been sentenced to two years of probation after police said he broke into a woman’s Dubuque apartment and choked her until she was unconscious. 20-year-old Titan R. Feeney, recently received the deferred judgment in Iowa District Court of Dubuque County after pleading guilty to domestic assault-impeding air flow. With a deferred judgment, the record of the case will be expunged if all probation obligations are met. The charge stems from an incident on June 16 when Feeney was involved in a physical disturbance with a 19-year-old woman. Feeney broke a glass window on a door to gain entry before strangling the woman. Feeney originally faced an additional charge of willful injury, which was dismissed.
