A Dodge County Court commissioner set bond at $2 million for the man accused of abducting a pregnant Beaver Dam teen and taking her across state lines. 40-year-old Gary Day is charged with two counts of child abduction and two counts of child enticement. Prosecutors believe Day took Sophia Franklin from her Beaver Dam home on Feb. 2. Franklin is pregnant and Day is believed to be the father of her unborn child. On the run for weeks, law enforcement located the two on April 2. The Sarpy County Sheriff’s Office said Day and Franklin were spotted at Love’s Truck Plaza on I-80 near Omaha, Nebraska. Day’s vehicle had reportedly broken down in Idaho and he and Franklin hitched a ride with a trucker to Sarpy County. As a condition of his bond, Day cannot have any contact or communication with Franklin, her family or her residence. He also cannot have contact with any minors.
