A man was sentenced to one year of probation after being involved in an altercation in southwest Wisconsin last year. Anthony T. Drapeau recently was sentenced in Grant County Circuit Court after pleading guilty to two counts of disorderly conduct. Per the plea agreement a charge of criminal damage of over $2,500 to property was dismissed and hate-crime enhancers were removed from the charges. Court documents state the charges related to an early morning disturbance on Aug. 18 at a party at Drapeau’s home in Jamestown Township during which Drapeau and his brother, Christopher L. Drapeau, assaulted another man while saying racial slurs and other derogatory comments. Christopher Drapeau is charged with battery, disorderly conduct and criminal damage to property in connection with the incident. His case is ongoing.
