A break in a sanitary sewer line caused an undetermined amount of untreated wastewater to overflow near 455 Moore Heights and reach the middle fork of Catfish Creek. The City of Dubuque Public Works Department was notified of the overflow at approximately 11 a.m. on Monday and the issue was resolved by approximately 5:30 p.m. that day. The Iowa Department of Natural Resources cautions people to keep their children and pets away from the noted area, which is posted, for 48 hours. For more information, contact the Iowa Department of Natural Resources’ Manchester Field Office at 563-927-2640 or City of Dubuque Public Works Director Arielle Swift at 563-589-4250.
