Much of southern Wisconsin is at very high fire danger risk as the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources expects dry weather and very high winds through Wednesday. The DNR said the higher risk of fires caused 63 wildfires that burnt 135 acres this weekend. DNR staff will be on standby with fire equipment across the state, including the areas with an elevated fire risk. Two Wisconsin Army National Guard crews will also be available, along with Blackhawk helicopters.
