A candidate in last week’s southwest Wisconsin elections has requested a recount after losing by a single vote. Jordan Pergande, who received 628 votes in the Southwestern School Board Area 1 race to incumbent Sara Bechen’s 629 votes, has filed a petition for a recount, according to district secretary DeeDee Smith. A meeting of the Canvassing Board of the Southwestern Wisconsin Community School District will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday at the Village Hall Community Room to recount the votes cast in the election.
