Lainey Wilson shared details of her engagement to former NFL player, Devlin “Duck” Hodges, in a TikTok video shared by a Nashville TV station. The 32-year-old country superstar said that the surprise proposal took place at the historic George Jones estate, and while she initially doubted Hodges would propose that day, Wilson was taken by surprise and described the setting as ideal. “He had it all set up,” Wilson recalled. “He had the candles and the picture frames, and it could not have been more perfect.” Wilson shared images from the romantic moment on Instagram at the time, and now reveals that the couple “hadn’t even started planning” the wedding yet. “We really need to sit down and make that a priority. But I’m sure that it’ll be something that’s just very, very simple, you know?” she said. The couple first appeared together at the ACM Awards in 2023, after dating since 2021, with Wilson indicating they knew early on they were meant to be together for the long haul. (People)
