During Brooks & Dunn’s encore performance of their 1992 No. 1 hit, “Boot Scootin’ Boogie,” at Indianapolis’ Gainbridge Fieldhouse on April 3, Ronnie Dunn abruptly exited the stage, leaving attendees concerned about his health. Radio host Matt Malone shared a video of the incident on TikTok, where Dunn can be seen encouraging the audience, “sing it if you know it,” before making a quick exit. The 71-year-old singer, who has been battling strep throat and COVID while on their current tour, had also mentioned feeling ill during a previous performance in Houston. Despite the abrupt departure, Brooks & Dunn continue their Neon Moon Tour, with upcoming shows in Iowa, Missouri, Kentucky, and Texas following the release of their latest album, Reboot II, in November 2024.
