Southwest Technical College student, Shawna Newton was honored with the Daisy Award at the conclusion of the fall semester. Newton, a 2020 graduate of Boscobel High School, graduated from the Associate Degree – Nursing (ADN) program at Southwest Tech in December 2024. The DAISY Award honors and celebrates direct care nurses, nursing students, and nursing faculty. Any licensed, registered nurse, nursing faculty, or nursing student is eligible to be nominated for a DAISY Award.
