Governor Tony Evers says his administration will help recently fired federal workers find jobs in Wisconsin. Thursday, Evers announced the creation of a new portal for fired federal workers to connect them with available work. Evers says the portal will help them find “in-demand, difficult-to-fill roles”. The state’s Department of Workforce Development will also host a series of eight virtual job fairs specifically geared towards connecting those fired workers with gainful employment. In his announcement, Evers blasted the current administration, blaming them for creating massive uncertainty. Wisconsin joined a multistate lawsuit earlier this month, claiming that the mass firings of federal employees are illegal actions.
