Mount Horeb police were asking residents to avoid a Walgreens on Springdale St. for an active investigation. Initially, no details were given besides there being no threat to the public. In a later update, police stated they received a call of a reported bomb threat. The reporting person stated they received a phone call with vague information about a possible bomb in the store. Police said officers arrived on scene and completed interviews with everyone. The Dane County Sheriff’s Office assisted with an explosive detecting K9. The building was searched and nothing was located. An investigation is ongoing.
