On Wednesday at 11:11 PM, an Iowa County Sheriff’s Office deputy conducted a traffic stop on Highway 18/151 near mile marker 48. The vehicle was initially stopped for speeding, but the driver refused to roll down windows and acknowledged that she had warrants before she fled the traffic stop. Deputies pursued the fleeing vehicle into Dane County, where law enforcement successfully deployed tire deflation devices near mile marker 65. The driver, Olivia G. Kobb of Milwaukee, refused to comply with the officers’ commands upon stopping. Monona Police Department’s K-9 unit, Jakko, assisted in taking the suspect into custody after she attempted to flee on foot. A subsequent search of Kobb’s vehicle uncovered suspected THC vape devices. She was transported to Upland Hills Hospital for medical evaluation before being booked into the Iowa County Jail, where she remains in custody on an active probation hold from the Wisconsin Department of Corrections. In Iowa County Kobb is charged with battery or threat to a law enforcement officer, felony fleeing/eluding, misdemeanor resisting arrest, possession of THC, OWI first offense, five counts of felony bail jumping one count of misdemeanor bail jumping, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Iowa County Sheriffs were assisted by the Dane County Sheriff’s Office, Verona Police Department, Monona K-9, unit, Mount Horeb Police Department, Mount Horeb Fire, and Mount Horeb EMS.
