Iowa County calls for service last week

Iowa County 911 Communication Center had 495 calls for service from March 16, 2025, to March 22, 2025. According to a Facebook post from the Iowa County Sheriff’s Department some of the leading calls for service were 50 Medical Emergencies, 78 Traffic Stops, 25 911 Hang Up, 19 Crashes, and 3 Disturbances. Year to date 2025, there have been 5,079 calls for service. Year to date in 2024, there were 5,082 calls for service. That means in 2025 Iowa County is down 3 calls for service over this time in 2024. This past week 22 people were booked into the Iowa County Jail for various offenses/holds. The Facebook post also mentions that speeding and dangerous driving remain persistent issues on the roads. A recent traffic stop highlights this concern, as an individual from Iowa was caught passing through at 91 mph in a 65 mph zone.
