On Friday at approximately 8:18 p.m., the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office K9 Unit Diego conducted a traffic stop on Prospect Street in the Village of Soldiers Grove. The driver was identified as 44-year-old Joel Davis of West Salem. During the traffic stop, K9 Diego was utilized and alerted to the presence of one or more controlled substances in the vehicle. A vehicle search ensued, and methamphetamine was discovered. Davis was taken into custody and transported to the Crawford County Jail on charges of possession of methamphetamine and bail-jumping.
