On Tuesday at approximately 6:30am, the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office, assisted by the Darlington Police Department, the Richland, Iowa, Grant Drug Task Force, and the Jo Daviess County Sheriff’s Office, executed a narcotics search warrant on E. Mary Street, in the City of Darlington. The search warrant resulted in the arrest of the two occupants of the residence. 29-year-old Trevor Huntoon and 32-year-old Brittany Long were taken into custody and transported to the Lafayette County Jail where they remain, pending an initial appearance in Lafayette County Circuit Court. Huntoon and Long have been tentatively charged with Maintaining a Drug Dwelling, Possession of THC with Intent to Deliver, Possession of Cocaine with Intent to Deliver, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession or Delivery within 1000 feet of a School. This case will be forwarded to the Lafayette County District Attorney’s Office for evaluation of additional charges.
