Cuba City High School saw an increased police presence this week following possible threats to school safety. According to a press release from the Cuba City Police Department, police were investigating Tuesday following a rumor that a student was going to bring a weapon to school. During the investigation, police learned about a concerning comment made on Monday. This comment was found to be inappropriate, but not a viable threat. The rumors on Tuesday stemmed from the same inappropriate comment, which another student overheard and then circulated at school and on social media. Police found no credible threat to the Cuba City School district, its students, or staff. Police remained on scene throughout the school day today Tuesday.
