A 50-year-old Platteville man stood mute to four sets of charges, two for incidents at a Southwest Lane address in November in Grant Cunty Circuit Court December 30. Not-guilty pleas were entered for Gerald Moon for multiple charges including strangulation and suffocation, criminal trespass, resisting, among other charges for a Nov. 11 incident. Not-guilty pleas were also entered for charges from a Nov. 2 and Oct. 8 incident which includes false imprisonment, disorderly conduct, and bail jumping, among other charges. Circuit Court Judge Craig Day ruled that Moon was standing mute to the charges after Moon said he didn’t want to offer a plea and was interrupting Day.
