State Representative Travis Tranel of Cuba City was sworn into office in front of friends, family, and colleagues at the Inauguration Day ceremony in the State Capitol. Officially, he begins his eighth term in the 107th Wisconsin State Legislature. According to the Wisconsin Legislative Reference Bureau, Rep. Tranel became the longest serving 49th Assembly District Representative. Having served for 14 years and 4 days. The 49th Assembly District includes all of Crawford County, significant portions of Grant County, and parts of Vernon County.
Tranel was appointed to serve as the Chair of the Assembly Agriculture Committee, Vice-Chair of the Assembly Commerce Committee, and as a member of the Energy & Utilities and Insurance Committees for the 2025-26 Legislative Session by Assembly Speaker Robin Vos.
