Chuck Schumer endorses Ben Wikler

Wisconsin Democratic Party Chair Ben Wikler now has a big-time backer as he seeks to lead the party on a national level. Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer on Thursday endorsed Wikler to be the next Democratic National Committee chair. In his endorsement, Schumer highlighted Wikler’s success in re-electing Sen. Tammy Baldwin as well as his fundraising achievements in Wisconsin. Wikler has chaired the Wisconsin Democratic Party since 2019. During his time in charge Gov. Tony Evers won re-election and Justice Janet Protasiewicz was elected, giving the Wisconsin Supreme Court a liberal majority.
