On Friday, at approximately 6:18PM, Deputies with the Grant County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence in the Village of Potosi for a reported disturbance. Once on scene, Deputies conducted an investigation, and subsequently took 19-year-old Dayton Udelhofen of Potosi into custody. Udelhofen was transported and booked into the Grant County Jail for charges of disorderly conduct, domestic abuse related. Udelhofen was able to post a cash bond, and was released. Following his release, Udelhofen returned to the residence where another domestic disturbance occurred. Deputies responded and took Udelhofen into custody for a second time. Udelhofen was again transported to the Grant County Jail where he was booked for charges of: disorderly conduct, domestic abuse related, battery, criminal damage to property, strangulation/suffocation, and child abuse. Reports from both incidents will be referred to the Grant County District Attorney’s Office for review and a charging decision.
