The interim president of Northeast Iowa Community College will continue to lead the school for the next 2½ years. Following a closed session at a meeting this week, the NICC board of trustees voted to extend Dave Dahms’ contract as interim president through June of 2027, with the contract to be finalized at the board’s January meeting. He assumed that role after NICC’s board voted to place former President Herbert Riedel on paid administrative leave, then voted to begin termination procedures in November 2023
