‘Ghostbusters’ Animated Movie In The Works From Sony And Netflix

Sony Animation and Netflix are collaborating on a new Ghostbusters animated film, with Kris Pearn (Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs) attached to direct. The project is still in early stages, and plot details are under wraps. The film would become part of the expanding Ghostbusters universe, alongside the latest live-action feature Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire. Sony and Netflix are also developing a new animated Ghostbusters series. Sources say the studio is hoping that this new animated film could have a similar impact on the Ghostbusters franchise as the Spider-Verse films had on Spider-Man, having garnered over $1.2 billion globally and an Oscar for Best Animated Film.
